14262 | Harriette W. Livermore Contributed By lindajoyetunnell1 · 3 January 2014 Even though my father left us and disappeared when I was three we always connected with his mother , my Grandma Robinson. As a grandma myself now, I can see that that contact was probley due to my mother's diligence. My grandmother told me a little story before she died. After my father left she said I was riding in the car with my Grandpa Robinson, standing next to him in the front. Every time a car went by I would say " Maybe that is my daddy." As sad as that is, I was grateful for that little insight into my life. I know I loved my father, I don't remember him every being unkind. He was just absent in our lives, cheated on my mother, and had horrible depression. Well, back to Grandma Robinson. We must have stayed with Grandma Robinson at times because I can remember sleeping in her guest room upstairs with her handmade rugs covering the floors. They were braided out of old suits she got at thrift stores. They were beautiful and I always coveted them. Grandma always had a bag of dried bread for us to feed the ducks with at a pond nearby. The treat that I really loved were cinnamon covered grahm crackers and white store bought bread. I remember staring up at her many Indian pictures and collections of arrow heads.(these were donated to a local museum when she died) We played in her wonderful back yard. It had alittle stream running through it with a bridge over it. That's how we would get to the garden, which I can remember sitting in eating fresh peas with my big sister Penny. My happy memories associated with my Grandma Robinson were always a blessing to me. As we all got older we didn't see her as often and after I married we kept in touch by letters....some of which I still have .She wrote wonderful, informative letters. She helped me with my genealogy , reluctantly for some reason. She'd say to me "Look to the future not the past." My father never had much nice to say about my Grandma but all I know is that she was always nice to me. I don't remember much about Grandpa Robinson but Grandma did say to me once, " I was watching Oprah on the t.v. and I think I was verbally abused by my husband." It surprised me and I was sorry for her. She said she loved living alone and was very content in her later years. She stayed very busy with her little store in her basement of out of print books. She bought and sold and was quite known for her knowledge. These are ramblings of memories by Linda Joye Tunnell granddaughter of Harriette Robinson. | Livermore, Harriette Watson (I14)

14270 | Haughwout is an anglicized form of Hoogwout (High Wood) and is undoubtly derived from the ancient town of that name, in the province of North Holland. (Hoochwoud in West Friesland) Quoting from (1) NYG&B Vol 66 pp. 302-313, 974 B2n, Haughwout Family Notes "From this Prehistoric-Genealogical sketch it would seem to appear that the Haughwout-Lefferts family of New Netherland was of Drenthe-Overyssel origin and we may therefore tentatively suggest that its Dutch origin for a certain period prior to the emigration of the New Netherland ancestor may be indicated by the following blood line, viz.: #1Captain Johan or Jan Hagewolt of the infantry who was transferred to Drenthe and commissioned a captain of a troop of horse on Feb 25 1640. He probably had 2 sons, viz.: Egbert Jansen Hagewolt & Jansen Hagewolt. #2 Pieter Janse Hagewout b. Abt 1621& d. Abt 1662, in Flatbush,Long Island,New York. His house was plundered by the Indians in Sep 1675, when he left Pegypscot, and we know nothing of his return [Indian War Papers, Vol 1, p. 690] Date of marriage to Elizabeth Andrews is suspect. Have not found any record and The Great Migration Begins only estimates marriage by about 1657. | Purchase, Thomas (I2519)

14281 | He emigrated abt 1660 from the Province of Guelderland, in which there is a village of Hart; he or his ancestors were probably French and his will was partly written in that language. He settled in New York city where he became a merchant & a shipper.& died in 1671. He had two natural sons, Matthias the ancestor of the Elizabeth, New jersey branch, and Daniel, the ancestor of the Staten Island branch. He never married, but was engaged to Margaret Stuyvesant Backer at the time of his death & apparently was intimately involved at the time, producing a son with her. He had three Brothers: Daniel, Matthias, & Jacob. After Balthazars death his brother Daniel succeeded to his business & died without issue. His brother Jacob married Cornelia Beeck,They 5 Children; William, Peter, Elizabeth, Balthus, 1673-80 7 another,1684, not named. 14283 | He had a 1st marriage (probably the daughter of Seger Segersz van der Poll & Johanna van Weerdenburg, as Seger was listed as (Sanders father-in-law), also in 1464 Sander was guardian for the underage chjild of Johan van der Poll, a son of Seger, & on 15 Oct 1473 for Johanna, daughter of Johan van der Poll. The guardianship was very often accomplished by a member of the family. Also the fact that Sander had a son Seger and that both Sander & Johan van der Poll had daughters called Johanna are indications.Sander was mentioned as a Schout of Brakel(1497), vassal of the Lord of Brakel (1494-1527), Servant of the marshal of Enssen, alderman of the High Bench of Zuilichem (1492). Apparently his 2nd wife was much younger than he was b.in 1483. Sources:(1) New Netherland Connections 1st Quarter 2002, 974.7 D25nne V.7m.1,pp.1-8, 81, 101-107. His Temple ordinances were done with a birth date of 1460, in the Logan temple. Further research by Rex Peterson determinred his birth to be Abt 1455, from a statement in "A Van Tuyl Chronicle" FHL 929.273 V 369v, Chp 3 p. 46." Sander lived to be very old. Probably dying around 1527. But in Dec 1526 he was still alive,& engaged in lawsuits in Valburg. In view of the fact that he was already a mem. (guardian) of one of his relatives in 1464, he must have passed the age of 80 in 1526. When he testified at a trial in Tiel in 1512 , he was referred to as an "old man". Sander movedto Brakel in the 1470s or 80s. He served as an administrator for the military governor of the area. | Van Tuyl, Sander Reinaltssoon (I2328)
