Note: The will of Thomas Colson/Coulson was probated on 2 July 1805 in Spotsylvania Co., VA wherein he leaves portions of his vast estate, land holdings and slaves to many people, including a small portion to “the children of Mary Berry.”

The mother of Nancy Ann Berry, wife of James Houston, was Mary Hampton Berry. The Hampton family is mentioned many times in the will of Thomas Coulson.

Edward Goddard was the son of William Goddard and Elizabeth Miles. He was born at Watertown, MA on 24 March 1675. He married Susannah Stone in 1696. Their children: Edward, Susannah, Simon, Benjamin, David, William, Mary, Ebenezer, and Ebenezer.

Edward died on 9 Feb 1754 in Framingham at the age of 78. Two sons, David and Benjamin, and his wife died the same year.

Edward Goddard was the son of William Goddard and Elizabeth Miles. He married Susanna Stone in June 1697. They resided in Watertown, then moved to Boston, then moved to Framingham. Children: Edward, Susanna, Simon, Benjamin, David, William, Mary, Ebenezer, Ebenezer, William, and Hepzibah.

Ebenezer Goddard is the son of Edward Goddard and Susannah Stone of Framingham. He was born 17 January 1713 and married Sibbil Brigham in 1736. Children: Abigail, Martha, Sibbil, Susannah, Mary, Sophia, Betsy, Esther, Ebenezer, Benjamin, Edward, Samuel, and Abigail.

Ebenezer died on 18 November 1762 and Sibbil died on 27 September 1807.

William Goddard was the 7th son of Edward Goddard and citizen of London. His wife was Elizabeth Miles. They had 6 children in London, 3 of whom died young. They emigrated to the United States in 1666. William died in 1691 and Elizabeth in 1697. They family settled in Watertown.
