      "John Burden : John is listed as brother to Julia Burden, who md Wm Riley Kirk b. 1827, whose first wife (according to transcript of Lynn Co, OR Early Settlers*) was Sarah W Eads b 1830, dau of Isaac (or John?) Eads. John is probably, though I haven't found proof yet, related to Levi Burden b 1827, who married Sarah Eads, b bet 25 May-25 June 1832, dau of Solomon Eads..."
      ...with Brown-Blakley wagon train were Alexander and Sarah (Sweeten) Kirk and children, William R "Riley" Kirk and his wife Sarah W (Eads); "Polly" (Kirk) Finley and her husband...etc; Elizabeth who md William Burden... Alexander Kirk's Donation Land Claim application for land on both sides of the Calapooia River says that they settled on their Brownsville claim on Oct 15, 1846, & he & Riley operated Kirk's Ferry. In 1853, after Sarah's death, Riley md a member of the 1845 Joel Palmer wagon train, Julia Burden, who had settled in Polk Co with her parents and family."
