    The History begins with the family of James and Alice in the early 1600's and follows the generations through James and Mary (Johnson); Nehemiah and Elizabeth (Jones), son of James and Mary; Reverend William T. and Hester (Crooks) Boutwell, son of Nehemiah; also includes Clark, Newton, James, and Rodney, all children of Nehemiah and Elizabeth. It then follows Rodney's descendants, ending in the year of 1889.
