14718 | Information from the Cecil County Historical Society - 8/7/14: I’ve been looking into your question about Mary Ann. She is not in our Riley family file. I cannot find her in the Cecil County marriage books, neither did I find Benjamin Gibson, which might mean he was married to the Ailes woman in Pennsylvania. I don’t see her in any of our tombstone listings, and I didn’t find her on Find A Grave. As you are no doubt aware, I found a family tree on Ancestry.com on which she appears. Using the date listed for her death, I checked the appropriate newspaper for an obituary, but did not find one. I took a look at the 1840 census you mentioned, and there is a female the right age living in his household. I checked the Md. State Archives death index using the death date from the Ancestry tree, and she does not appear there. It may be that she died elsewhere or had married so is under another name. That’s all I can find. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Carol Donache Librarian | Gibson, Benjamin (I51)

14719 | Information from the Historical Society of Cecil County - 8/4/2014 We have had other researchers looking for your Benjamin Gibson. I was hoping we could find out more for you but we did not have much luck. There were two mentions of him in the newspaper, one of which was the one you saw. The other was the previous week and mentions only that he has been replaced as postmaster. It says nothing else. We resorted to looking through the tax assessments. We started looking in the records beginning in 1850. He appears every year in the same location, and had a total assessment most years of $11, 015, which is quite good for the time. The last assessment year in which he appears that we have records for is 1864. We do not have records for 1865 and 1866, and he is not in the 1867 assessment. We could not find him in any of our tombstone records, but they are not complete. Also, Rock Springs is very close to the Pennsylvania line, so he could be buried in PA. I’m afraid that is all we could find. *************************** | Gibson, Benjamin (I51)

Andrews' biography stated the yahd one child who lived only six weeks. BILLINGSLEY Family Photograph Submitted ByShelley Cardiel Date Tue, 19 Jun 2007 I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Margaret STONEHOCKER BILLINGSLEY which was taken at the McAdam Bros. Studio in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Margaret likely in her 20's at the time it was taken. In addition to her name someone appears to have also written a name (PICKERING) and address (Box 456 ? 98065) on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research and thanks to the assistance of some family researchers I know the following regarding Margaret and her husband: Margaret STONEHOCKER b. 22 Nov 1851 in Harrison, OH to parents John STONEHOCKER (b. 24 Oct 1814 in Jefferson Co., OH) and Mary PEW (b. 1816 in OH). She married Andrew Magee BILLINGSLEY (b. 27 May 1851 in Harrison Co., OH to parents Samuel Kirke BILLINGSLEY and Rebecca Fessler KNIGHT) on 28 Mar 1880 in Salem, IA. There is some indication that they may have had a child, Clyde BILLINGSLEY b. in the 1880's which died at birth or a very young age. Her husband Andrew died 21 Mar 1913 in Texico, NM and in 1920 Margaret was a widow living with her nephew, Harlan M. LAMM in Carleton, NE. Margaret died 11 Nov 1922. She can be traced through census records as follows: 1870 census of Salem Township, IA: John STONEHOCKER, age 56, a Farmer, born OH Mary STONEHOCKER, age 54, Keeping House, born OH Joseph STONEHOCKER, age 23, Farming, born OH Martin STONEHOCKER, age 21, Works on Farm, born OH Margaret STONEHOCKER, age 18, born OH John P.
