The Immigration Record of the Family of William and Emma Stevens in 1856

After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England, the Family of William and Emma Stevens sold their home, their orchard, and all their belongings to join with the saints in America. They left the docks of Liverpool on the good ship Wellfleet with other LDS immigrants in May of 1856. “Boarding the ship with their parents were Jane, thirteen, Sarah Ann, nine, Willie, seven, Ellen, five, two-year old Simon and baby Emeline, who had been born two months earlier.”
