He had a 1st marriage (probably the daughter of Seger Segersz van der Poll & Johanna van Weerdenburg, as Seger was listed as (Sanders father-in-law), also in 1464 Sander was guardian for the underage chjild of Johan van der Poll, a son of Seger, & on 15 Oct 1473 for Johanna, daughter of Johan van der Poll. The guardianship was very often accomplished by a member of the family. Also the fact that Sander had a son Seger and that both Sander & Johan van der Poll had daughters called Johanna are indications.Sander was mentioned as a Schout of Brakel(1497), vassal of the Lord of Brakel (1494-1527), Servant of the marshal of Enssen,alderman of the High Bench of Zuilichem (1492). His Temple ordinances were done with a birth date of 1460, in the Logan temple. Further research by Rex Peterson determinred his birth to be Abt 1455, from a statement in "A Van Tuyl Chronicle"
FHL 929.273 V 369v, Chp 3 p. 46." Sander lived to be very old. Probably dying around 1527. But in Dec 1526 he was still alive,& engaged in lawsuits in Valburg. In view of the fact that he was already a mem.
(guardian) of one of his relatives in 1464, he must have passed the age of 80 in 1526. When he testified at a trial in Tiel in 1512 , he was referred to as an "old man".
Sander movedto Brakel in the 1470s or 80s. He served as an administrator for the military governor of the area.

Her husband Goossen Jansz,Lord of Jutte, alderman of the High Bench of Zuilichem, son of Johan van Aelst and Jutte, owned the manor of Aalst which was inherited by their daughter Johanna, since there was apparently no male heir. Johanna's husband Caspar Turck acted on 12 Feb 1568 as guardian of Jan Sandersz van Tuyl.

She md. Adam van Tiel, widower of Maria. Adam was alderman of the city of Tiel. (1498-1511) On Jul 13, 1510 Adam donated to his wife a morgengave of 300 Philipsguildens ( a gift of the bridegroom to the bride on the morning after their wedding night). A year later he bequeathed his wife all his possessions.Their mg. rec in : Jaarboek van het Centraal Bureau voor Genealogie,'s-Gravenhage: Het Bureau, 1948, 2:166. It is possible that Ysentruijt md. (2) Adriaen Van Brakel ( 30 Mar 1552, Adriaen van Brakel sold a house to Derick Vaeck, owned by him and his late wife Ysentruyt van Tuyl).

Seger was mentioned in 1493 when he served in the army of the enemies of the Duke of Gelre, Thereby acting as an opponent of his own father, who served the Duke. He was taken prisoner & swore an oath - in the prison of Teil - that he never would fight against the Duke. He was married to Lijsbeth van Zeller & lived near Valburg (in the neighborhood of Nijmegen); his properties were situated in Elst & Meteren, with an Eefhuis at Nijmegen. Probably an innkeeper because between 1519 & 1523 the burgomasters of Nijmegen & Venlo, the Heren of Zutphen & Arnhem & others paid him for beer they had consumed, which he had delivered. Sander md. (1) Barbara Van Dieden in 1551. She was b. in 1528, probably from Heesselt.
She died before 3 May 1556. They had a dau. Marijken Sanders Van Tuyl; (Joost Van Dieden, t the brother of Barbara, is mentioned as her guardian) Marijken b. abt 1552. Source for this

Although no mention has been found of Sander as son of Reyner, there is a lot of indirect evidence. Reyner's son Arnt had common properties with his brother-in-law Ot van Herwijnen; properties that belonged to his father. Arnt's widow & Sander's widow and her son Jan were both heirs of Arnt. The son of Sander, Jan, was the first mentioned heir in the will of Wilhelmina van Herwijnen, the grandaughter of Reyner & niece of Sander. Part of the heritage was the uiterwaard mentioned by the wife of Sander's, Willemke to pay a tribute. Finally there was a common debt of the widow of Arnt van Tuyl, the heirs of Arnt van Tuyl, the heirs Ot van Herwijnen & the widow and the heirs of Sander van Tuyl. They have all been summoned by Albert de Ruyter, regarding anold claim.
He Sander was a member of the municipal council of Brakel 17 Oct 1552.

One of Ott van Herwijnen & Margriet van Tuyl's daughters married Dirck Pieck van Tienhoven, but the marriage produced no children. So in her will 17-3-1583, Margriet had named nephew Jan Sandersz van tuyl the primary heir.

Jan Sandersz, (sometimes called Johan) moved to Gameren at the time of his marriage in 1586.He was
mentioned together with his mother & sister on 13 Apr 1564, of age between 7 Jun 1570 & 17 Mar 1583, & died 18 May 1617 (around Midnight), married between 22 Apr & 24 Nov 1586.He was like his, father & father-in-law, alderman (and many times president) of the High Bench of Zuilchem(1589-1617. He was owner of a lot of property, inherited from his father-in-law, who was a member of the important family Van Oever, many of whom performed executive functions at Zaltbommel & Bommelerwaard. They were also major property owners in Gameren.
