  She was born in Fabius, New York 13 Apr 1806 and was md. to John Martineau 29 Apr 1824 in Florida, Montgomery, N.Y. and they moved to Huntsville, Alabama. Eliza was 18 yrs. old at her mg. She was a lovely and refined lady. Intellectually and religiously inclined. A member of the Baptist church. My father was a Methodist, she said. Her death date 6 Jul 1848 with the other info found in @ -- J.H.M. Journal. J.H.M. Journal "After my father John Martineau died, my mother married William G. Babcock. He was a Vermonter, a farmer and married my mother 21 Feb 1844 in Elbridge, N.Y.. He was a widower and had one son Edward, about my age. He died in Wisconsin."
