      In the Will and Last Testament of John Chappelear, he states, "It is hereby my request & I enjoin my Executors herein after-mentioned, That, provided Elizabeth D. Tycer the mother of my aforesaid children male no objection, they shall petition the General Assembly of the State of Maryland to change the named of my said son & daughter that is their Sir named, from Tycer to Chappelear." (The "illegitimate" children are Julius and Elizabeth, mentioned in his Will).
