    A great "sickness" broke out in Middlesex County in 1754. Reverend David Goddard died on January 19. His mother [Susannah Stone] died on February 4. His father, Hon. Edward Goddard, died on February 9.

    Edward Goddard was the son of William Goddard and Elizabeth Miles. He was born at Watertown, MA on 24 March 1675. He married Susannah Stone in 1696. Their children: Edward, Susannah, Simon, Benjamin, David, William, Mary, Ebenezer, and Ebenezer.

    Edward died on 9 Feb 1754 in Framingham at the age of 78. Two sons, David and Benjamin, and his wife died the same year.
