      NOTES: Page 21, letter sent to family by Pioneer Society, San Bernardino, Cal:
      John H Garner, veterinary surgeon, Santa Ana, born in Ogden City, Utah
      26 Jun 1850, fourth son of John and Olive (Rossen) Garner, the former native of
      North Carolina.
      His father crossed the plains in 1851, locating in San Bernardino.
      Farmed for 28 yrs. Passed away at the age of 61 yrs, J H Garner, the Vet.
      Served also as an inspector for the diseased horsed in LA Co. and in
      1890 held that position in Orange Co. And he discovered a cure for lockjaw in
      horses.
      He married 6 Nov 1870 to Nettie Ames, dau of Ellis and Olive Ames. Had
      14 children. Mr and Mrs Garner had 8 children: John, Guy s, Albert, Ernest,
      Olive, Ida, Maria and Robert.
      (I do not know if this is the family you are trying to locate the
      descendants, but the name Rosson connected with this family made me think it
      might be. I hope it is and will help you).
