River **On this same day, Susan is baptised, Susan and Thomas are apparently married in the Catholic church and their 6th child, Matilda is baptised. All three events are on the same page in the church book. In a 1975 newspaper story about Susan, it states that she "told her children the Chippewa rules and customs and saw no conflict with the Christian religion."
