On 1 December 1874 Shipman Reed Jr applied and was appointed guardian of John G and Nancy A Reed. The bond was $225. John Reed was security. H B Muse was previously granted guardianship of all 3 children in August but now Shipman is given guardianship of the two older children. Muse retained guardianship of the youngest child.
