He was married to Nelma Elizabeth Holmes in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was active in the LDS church and held many positions. He worked for the Quality Press as a printer for over 30 years. He was the father of 16 children, three sets of twins. After Nelma died he married Renee Price. He was blessed with 57 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren,and 8 great-great grandchildren.
