A native of Paris, France, she was born April 6 1871. She came to the United States with her parents when she was only two years of age. The family first lived in O'Fallon, Illinois and came to this district in 1890. First settling in Weir, she later moved to Scammon in 1906. Five years after the death of her husband, Ralph Blackett Sr., in 1915 she moved to Cherokee where she as an innkeeper for years.
