    • ATGG: "Ancestry of Two Great Grandmothers, Esther (Root) Poole, Lois (Sprague) Mears", compiled by Winifred Lovering Holman, S.B., 1938, copy at the NEHGS, - D0007
BIRTH: Estimated from birth of wife. "Vital Records of Duxbury MA to 1850", pg. 315 and ATGG, pg. 112: "of Falmouth"
MARRIAGE: "Vital Records of Duxbury MA to 1850", pg. 315 - D0014. ATGG, pg. 112

Soldier in King Phillip's War and noted for his skill with a rifle. He could supposedly split an apple at 20 rods. He inherited his father's homestead in Falmouth and added to it, creating a large estate. Because his children all moved to Connecticut before his death, his property was divided at their removal. There is no will on record; it may have burned in 1825 at Barnstable.

his Son Jonathan born ye 17 of May 1652

his Daughter Sarah 21 of March 1664
Given Benjamin's birth in Sep 1655, Joseph's birth has to be in 1654. However, the likelihood that Thomas was born 1649 is low (only 5 1/2 months since Mary's birth), so assume 1650 is the correct date in the current Gregorian calendar
