  There is a question as to where the first three children of Thomas Edwin Ricks and Elizabeth Jane Shupe were born. Some say they were born in Farmington, Davis, Utah. Others say in Logan, Cache, Utah. In the Fall of 1859, the husband went to help settle the town of Logan, Cache, Utah. It is not known whether Elizabeth went with him then or whether she went later. It was common practice for polygamist wives to live in different towns.
