I I . Christinetje, bap. Oct. 8, 1738; m. Casparus
Schuyler (b. Dec. 16, 1735, son of Philip Schuyler and
Hester Kingsland), and lived in a small frame house on the
northeast side of the Paterson and Hamburgh turnpike
road, near the corner of what is known as Wanaque avenue,
in the present Borough of Pompton Lakes. Pier father, by
his will, d a t e d June 25, 1785, devised to her "the Lott of
Land I purchased from Abraham Garritse containing two
hundred acres lying and being on Hardins plains for and
dureing her Natural life and after her decease if She
Should leave a Child or Children then I give devise and
bequeath the equal half part or moiety of said tract of
Land to be taken off the North side thereof, to such Child
or Children after they a t t a in the age of twenty one and to
their heirs and assigns for ever." In a codicil, dated Nov.
2, 1785,2 he recites t h a t his daughter Christinetie is dead,
and devises said moiety to his granddaughter, Esther Colfax,
in fee. Issue: Hester (Esther), m. Capt. William Col-

15284 Martha states- His name is really James Jethro. He left his wife to seek a vocation in Alaska. He as never heard from again. There is a creek in Alaska called Stonehocker creek presumably named after him.

to visit your grandfather in Idaho (I think) on his way.

15286 Martin was born in NYC and moved to Hackensack, Bergen, NJ with his parents around the year 1706. As an adult Martin made his home near the Ponds area of Pompton Plains. He lived in a stone house just beyond "the point of the mountain" later removing to Brockholst Place (also in Pompton Plains). Martin and his wife joined the Pompton Plains DRC at its inception in 1737. Martin's large estate was distributed among his daughters and their children, some of whom married into important military and political families. Martin's will, found in "Documents Relating to the Colonial History of New Jersey, Calendar of New Jersey Wills, Volume VI, 1781-1785, p. 338" follows: "1785 June 25. Ryerson, Martin, of Pompyon, Bergen Co.; will of. I desire to be buried by the side of my children in the Ponds Church. Daughter, Christinetie, the wife of Casparus Schuyler, land I had purchased of Abraham Garritse, of 200 acres, which lies on Hardins Plains; and if she die leaving children, then 1/2 of said lands on the north side is to go to said children, and the other 1/2 to my grandson, Ryer Van Houten. Grandson, Martin Van Houten, when he 21, is to have the plantation which is near the Pond Church, on south side of the road; and he is to pay his sisters, Martyntie and Mary, each 50 pounds. If my daughter, Elizabeth Van Houten, should be left a widow, then she may have the use of all of the lands I have given to her son, Martin Van Houten, while she is a widow; and I reserve out of said lands 1/2 acre for a burying-place. Grandson, Peter Schuyler, my plantation where I live of 230 acres, and he is to pay 25 pounds to his brother, Arent Schuyler, and to pay to his sister, Anna Schuyler 125 pounds. Grandson, Arent Schuyler, a lot of 20 acres which I bought of Nicholas Slingerland, at a place called Crooked Pond. Grandsons, Martin Van Houten, Peter and Aaron Schuyler, the cedar swamp in Romyn's tract, at the Ponds. All land may be rented until each legatee is of full age. Wife, Elizabeth, the use of the parlor, and use of my young wench, Sock; and my wife to be supported by my Executors while she is my widow. Granddaughter, Anna Schuyler, negro woman Hannah. My old Jimm, Cuff, Prince and Old Suck, to be sold at least 20 miles from my dwelling. Executors - friend, John Ryerson, and my sons-in-law, Philip Schuyler and Corinus Van Houten. Witnesses - James Christie, Cornelius Hennion, William Drummond. 1785, Nov 2. Codicil. In this instrument the testator declares that "being sick and weak in Body but of a perfect mind and memory thanks be to God," he provides that "my loveing Wife Mary shall enjoy all my estate both real and personal during she remains to lie my Widow but if in case she shall compleat a second marriage she shall then have the sum of Twenty five pounds current money. Item I give unto my eldest son George Reyerse one of my Guns as being my eldest son and heir at law Item I give and devise unto my three sons George Reyerse Richard and Martin Reyerse all my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever in the County of Bergen to be equally divided . . . Item I give and devise unto my two youngest sons John and Theunis Reyerse all my real estate or lotts I have in the City of New York to be equally divided both in quantity and quality between them I t em I give and bequeath unto my four daughters namely Gaine, Mary, Ann and Hester each of them the sum of One hundred pounds current lawful money of the province of New York to be paid by my five sons after the youngest Son shall arrive to the full age of twenty one year."

Mrs. Mary (Marvin) Bushnell, m. in 1659, at Saybrook, Deacon Thomas Adgate, a widower with two daughters, Elizabeth, who m. her step-brother Richard Bushnell; and Hannah, b. at Saybrook, 6 Oct 1653; who m. in Nov 1675, Samuel Lathrop the second of Norwich. 15290 Mary Speirs Young visited in Council Bluff, IA in August 1875 and stated she wished to visit her brother, George's children who were all living in one neighborhood about 18 miles out of Council Bluff. She was invited to prolong her visit and as soon as the harvest was finished they would take her to visit with them. She was unable to do so but did report that William had three girls, Margaret had a boy and a girl, Agnes had three girls and two boys and George had two girls.

Abstracts of Wills Liber 16 p.181, NYHS yr bk 1895 Vol.IV (1744-1753) She was the wife of Daniel Corson Nov 1753 (son Richard bap 7 Nov 1753) Daniel was born abt 1714, And who died 26 Jan 1761. She was late as 1766, when she was nominated as executrix in the will of Christian Corson, her father-in-law.
She apparently had no children by her husband, Mr. Seabrook. This rec. is found in "Historical Miscellany" by J.E. Stillwell Vol. 4 p.234.
