Jacob next appears in Conestoga Township living with the Adan Stoll Family with apparently Jacob's younger brother Peter.
Conestoga is 9.6 miles East from St. Michael's Lutheran Church where the Jacob, Catharine and Susan are buried.

1) Jacob Bower/Bowers appears on tax records from 1861 to 1876.
2) Jacob acquires one acre of land in 1868 and owns that land until at least 1876 (Lancaster County Deed Book G, Volume 9, page 494.).
3) Jacob purchased the land from Adam Stoll (the man whom Jacob and Peter were living with in the 1860 census).
4) It appears that Jacob sold his land to B. Hess (probably Benjamin Hess) in 1865.
5) Jacob appears in Strasburg Township tax lists in 1875 until 1887, the year he died.
6) Jacob owned 23 acres in Strasburg Township and is listed as a farmer (unable to locate deed).

This Peter is from Bavaria which is the kingdom east of Württemberg. Like Jacob, this Peter also names his first son Charles in 1857. However, the birth is in Philadelphia,72 miles east of Conestoga.

Adam Stoll, the head of household that Jacob and Peter are living with in 1860 arrived to New York in 1853 (Stall) aboard the ship Constitution. His wife and children travel from Le Havre, France to New York on the ship Vanclusse in 1856. Adam's wife Magaret and children are listed as from Württemberg just like Jacob.

The cousin of Adam Stoll, Philip Adam Stoll (also born in Wolfschlugen, Wurttemberg) is living with his wife Eliza (she is 10 years old and from Pennsylvania) in Upper Leacock, Lancaster County, 16 miles from Adam Stoll in Conestoga, Lancaster County. The 1900 census lists Philip immigrating to the United States in 1853 and naturalized. He was buried in Manheim Cemetery in Lititz in 1909.
