1809 Poor Law Union Records for Jonathan Hewitt and Widow Hart

25 September 1809, Forehoe, Norfolk

Wicklewood - Jonathan Hewitt - 1 Week - 0-1-0 [1 shilling]
Wymondham - Widow Hart - 14 Weeks - 1-1-0 [1 pound, 1 shilling]

Note: Jonathan Hewitt and Lydia Hart appear in the Forehoe poor law records periodically. Lydia started appearing in the records in 1804 after the death of her husband, Francis. In the beginning, she was often listed as "Francis Hart's Widow." Jonathan began appearing in the poor law records in 1809, around the time of the birth of his and Ann's first child. Being in poor law records means that both Jonathan and Lydia often needed financial help from the parish. Lydia appears more often in the records.
