Since William is listed as single in the 1916 census (taken 1 Jun 1916) and enlists in June 1917, he was almost certainly not married and did not have any children. No record of a marriage has been located for William.


note: William's father: Carl Julius Boldt, is listed in the 1916 census in the town of Shoal Lake, Manitoba. The two towns are about 75km apart
