      LaDean Wright Bird - SPRINGVILLE--LaDean Wright Bird, age 59, of Springville, died in St. George, Utah, February 24, 1995 of pneumonia.
      She was born February 17, 1936 in Murray, Utah to Dr. Warren LaVon Wright and Ada Peggy Thomas Wright. Raised in Murray, Utah, she attended the University of Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University.
      She married Dr. Dan R. Bird in the Salt Lake LDS Temple August 11, 1958. LaDean loved her family and rejoiced in their many accomlishments. She served in many capacities as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Relief Society President. She was generous with her time and talents and sang at many funerals, and volunteered her time at Springville High School and the Springville Museum of Art. LaDean was loved by many and was appreciated as an angel of mercy because of the kindness she showed among those with whom she labored.
      She is survived by her husband, Dan R. Bird, Springville; her five children and their spouses, Christine and Jae Baxter, Springville; Korry and Diane Bird, Mapleton; Richard and Annette Bird, Springville; Terra and Keller Clark, Wodland Hills; Peggy and Kenneth Van Ausdal, Salem; nine grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Jay W Wright, Salt Lake City; and one sister, Mrs H. C.(June) Coon, Salt Lake City.
      Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 2, 1995 at 11 am in the Springville Stake Center, 245 South 600 East, Springville. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm or Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South, Springville. Interment will be in the Springville City Cemetery.

      Young People Join in Wedlock - Mr Lavon Wright of this city and Miss Ada Thomas of Portland, Ore., were married in the Salt Lake temple last Wednesday, the ceremony being performed by Apostle Melvin Ballard, formerly Pres. of the Northwest Mission, where Mr. Wright labored as a missionary for nearly 28 months.
      Since his return from the mission field Lavon has attended the North Pacific Dental College at Portland, and it was while at the College, that he met and woed Miss Thomas.
      The young couple returned from Salt Lake last Thursday, and will spend their honeymoon in visiting relatives and friends a short time, after which Mr. and Mrs. Wright will leave for Portland, where Mr. Wright will finish his course in dentistry.
      The newly-weds are well and favorably known in their respective communities, and have many friends who wish them happiness and prosperity in their journey through life, in which the Courier heartily join.
