    Joseph F. Jiracek died April 23, 1935 after wandering away from his home and getting lost one evening. It was not until the next morning that he was found unconscious, but still alive, in a swamp. He was eighty-nine when he died.

Cause of death: Shock due to exposure, being lost from 4:30 pm on April 22 to 9:00 am April 23. Wandered from home. Age 89, 1mo. 21 days. Born Mar 2, 1846 in Bohemia. (Parents names not listed.) Burial on Apr 26, 1935 at Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse.
