  New England His't. & Gen. Reg. Vol 54, pp 270-272; Walker's Herald & Gen. pt XV, pp 276-280; Am Gen Vol 16, p. 101; Seversmith's Corrected Norton pedigree.' He came to Guilford in 1639 & served as the town miller until his death in 1648. He is stated to have been a church warden of Mr. Whitfield's parish at Oakley in Surrey, a few miles south of London, England, and has been thought to have been connected with the Nortions of Sharpenhow, Bedfordshire (New England Register,Vol XIII., p. 225)
