Born 5 Sep 1903 Pilot Rock to Carl & Nelli Rugg Hemphill. Grew up in Pilot Rock & attended schools there. 1923 md Albert D Pollock at Pilot Rock, moved to Pendleton 1936 & later other OR communities, back to Pendleton. WWII employed at Goodyear Mkt, then banking, retiring from US Nat'l Bk in 1960's as teller. Enjoyed cabin at Langdon Lake built by husband. Member of Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star (Bushee chap), Umatilla Historical Soc, etc a volunteer at Bargain Counter for years, played pinochle. Albert died 1970. Md Kenneth Redmond later, who preceeded her in death. Survivors: daughter Betty Holeman, Bonnie Enbysk-Pendleton, brother Wilbur-Pilot Rock, sister Mildred Roy-Pendleton, Norma Smith-Pilot Rock, 6 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, 1 greatgreatgrandchild. 3 brotherss died earlier: Ray, Lawrence & Ralph.
