      Henri (Hank) Milano "The Last Hurrah!" Henri "Hank" Milano, 91, departed this life on Jan. 15, 2008 in Salt Lake City. He was born on July 14, 1916 in Sunnyside, Utah to Frank and Leona Milano. He was the second of three children. His parents and two sisters, Anna and Mary, preceded him in death. Hank attended school in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High in 1933. He married Elma Allen Dec. 31, 1938 in Eagle Rock, California. He was inducted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and served over three years. After World War II, Hank and Elma moved to Mesa, Arizona and founded Milano Music Center in 1946. They became the parents of six children. Hank subsequently married Lucille "Connie" Mehan October 31, 1965 in Ely, Nevada and they became the parents of two children. Hank was a hard working, successful businessman. He held managing positions in several music companies throughout the U.S. In 1970, he and Connie returned to Salt Lake City where he worked as vice president and general manager of Wagner Corporation (packaging supplies and services) until he retired in 1993 at age 77. Hank was an avid tennis player, a skilled accordionist and had a love for family memorabilia. He was a member of the American Legion Holladay Post #71 and the F.O.E. #67 in Salt Lake City and in his later years was an active member of the Wasatch Accordion Club. His sharp wit and keen mind remained active until the last. He is survived by both former spouses, Elma and Connie, and all eight of his children: Frank (Bambi), Francene Pfeifer (Jan), Mila Linton (John), Laura Smith (David), Margaret Palmer (Dennis), Ida Anderson (Brad), Nick Milano, and Alexandria "Allie" Carleson (Scott); a step-daughter, Bobbie Fresh; 30 grandchildren, 36 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grandson. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the many family members, friends, and professional caregivers for their love and support. Funeral services will be held on Tues., January 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, where friends and family may call Mon. evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tues. morning one hour prior to services. Interment: Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road.
