Note from Irma Sackett, March 2004: "Permelia is buried there with [son] Homer's family in the LaGrange Cemetary... There were 2 cemetaries in Whittier that were adjoining. The city made a park there, calling it Founders Park. All of the names are displayed on a very nice metal wall - rather like a monument. All of the stones were taken to Pio Pico Museum, nearby. My husband's gr grandparents are buried there also. They had a wooden marker-those were not kept. When I went there (a long time ago), I didn't know about Matilda Frances. Therefore, I do not know if her marker would be there."
