  In a letter written by William Edward Warr, dated 26 February 1957, to a professional genealogist, William writes, "I have an old Bible given me by my father [William Warr]. On the flyleaf is written Sarah Pierce born February 2, 1836. In fathers records he writes that his mother died when he was five years of age and that soon after he was sent to Wales to live with an Uncle. He remained there until his father [Farnham Warr] remarried. He [William Warr] came to America in 1870."
