    • Emma Robbins is not the daughter of William Way Robbins and Mary or the sibling of Ralph. She is the daughter of William Robins and Mary Barnes. There are two different couples named William and Mary Robins in Brighton, Sussex in the 1820s-1840s.

      William Way Robbins and Mary baptized their son, Ralph, in 1827 in the Church of England. William was a hostler. According to the 1841 census (when Mary was living with Ralph) and 1861 census (when Mary was living with a granddaughter), Mary was born around 1801 in Steyning, Sussex. William died before 1841. Mary died after 1871.

      William Robbins and Mary Barnes baptized their daughter, Emma, in 1824 in a Presbyterian Church. Mary was the daughter of George and Jane Barnes. In 1841, William, Mary, and Emma were living on George St in Brighton. William was a pork butcher. Emma died soon after and was buried in an Independent Church in Brighton. William died in 1848. In the 1851 census, Mary Robins still lived on George St in Brighton. She was a pork butcher and living with her sister, Sarah Barnes. This Mary was born in Wisborough Green, Sussex.
