      c1882 HIST: Nov 2002 email from Connie Clapier to Pam Wagner pg 3: Silas W Eads was called "Red" because of his red hair and beard. Silas, along with John, stole a horse in Washington and when confronted, blamed their nephew Aldy Neal Jr (Elvira's son) and he was lynched for the crime.
