I.A. "Bud" Hallmark: Former Walla Wallan I. A. "Bud" Hallmark, 86, died Saturday in Provo, Utah. Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla. Bishop John Hallmark and Bishop Melvin Hankla will officiate. Family and friends may meet at 1:30 pm at Herrying Funeral Home to leave for the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or a charity of the donor's choice.
Hallmark was born March 18, 1895 in Graphite, Texas to James Isaac and Carrie Garner Hallmark. He spent his early life in Texas, moving to LaGrande with his parents at age 12. He attended schools there and began working for the railroad.
He married Mary Luella Grow in LaGrande; she preceded him in death. He came to this area to work for the Walla Walla Valley Railway, retiring in 1960. He married Elsie Fox Harper in Walla Walla May 11, 1951; she died in December 1976. He moved to Orem, Utah, in 1978. Hallmark was an elder in the Mormon church.
He is survived by a daughter, Norma H. Hawkins of Orem; 2 stepdaughters, Leota Travalle of Walla Walla and Mildred Dixon of California; 3 sons, James D of Boise ID, John I of Kearns UT and Ronald of Kaneohe Hawaii; a sister Letha Richardson of Brigham City UT and 3 brothers, William of Cove OR, Thomas of LaGrande OR and Glen of Griffin GA.

Ivy A "Bud" Hallmark 86, of Orem died Saturday, Jan. 30,1982, at Utah Valley Hospital.
He was born March 18, 1895 at Graphite, Texas, to James Isaac and Carrie Garner Hallmark. He married Mary Luella Grow, March 25, 1915 in LaGrande Ore. She died. He married Elsie Viola Fox Harper May 11, 1951 in Walla Walla WA. She died Dec 18, 1976.
He spent his early life in Texas and Oregon. He was employed in LaGrande by the Walla Walla Valley Railroad until retirement. He moved to Orem in 1978 to live with his daughter.
He was a member of the LDS Church and an Elder residing in the Orem 16th Ward. He was a member of the Orem Senior Citizens.
His survivors include one daughter and three sons, Mrs. Norma H. Hawkins of Orem, James D Hallmark of Boise, Idaho; John I. Hallmark of Kearns; Ronald G. Hallmark of Kaneohe, Hawaii; two step-daughters, Leota M Travaille of Walla Walla, Wash. and Meldred Dixon of California, 25 grandchildren and 40 greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 pm in the Walla Walla, Wash. Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S State St. Orem.
