  • Notes
    • 1832 (1850 ae 18)

Morton's History lists two children for Benami and Mary C. Armstrong, Azariah and George. In The New History of Highland County., Nancy D. and Robert Azariah are listed, but not George. Six other children are listed in the Samuel E. Armstrong Family Bible and other information was given to me by Richard L. Armstrong a descendant of Benami's. Along with his brothers Benami and Mary were deeded 286 acres of land on Bull Pasture Mountain, byb his parents (for which they paid $1.00) and signed the bill of sale when the land was sold to Samuel C. Eagle. On 1/10/1880 Benami signed the paper which deeded his share of his fathers land on Shaws Fork to his brother John E. Armstrong.

From the files of Janice L. (Armstrong) Nicholas

Benami and Mary were married in the home of her father by the Reverend John T. Tobler(on record in Clerk's office, Monterey, Va.)JHA2003.
