His 2nd marriage proved unhappy; in 1694, he & his wife had parted, for causes which do not appear. Whether they ever lived together again, or where his home was after this, is unknown. It is a tradition in the family that he lived in Enfield, and it may be that his later years were passed in the home of his eldest son.
