Obituary for Philo Wayne Raynor
Obituary for Philo Wayne Raynor
SICK ONLY A SHORT TIME, COMPLICATION OF DISEASES CARRIED OFF PROMINENT MAN, Death of P. W. Raynor Occurs at Half-Past Five O-clock. Wednesday Morning at His Home on Cherry Street.

Sick less than three weeks with a complication of diseases, consisting of typhoid and brain fever and spinal meningitis, P. W. Raynor finally succumbed at half past five o'clock Wednesday morning, and his spirit was at rest. He first realized that he was ill only short time since, and fought hard to overcome the inroads of disease, but in vain. His age was 53 years, and leaves a widow to mourn her loss.

Mr. Raynor came to Findlay more than twenty years ago from Castalia, O., his birthplace, and has ever since been actively engaged in business in this city. He conducted a music store, in connection with is brother, A. T. Raynor, and was also engaged in the livery business for awhile. At the time of his death he had a music and automobile store in the Hosler block on the North Side. At one time he was also engaged in the music business in Bowling Green. He and his brother invested, manufactured and sold a patent piano-truck, which is said to have become a staple article in use by the trade.

He was married, about twenty years ago to Miss Jennie Walters, daughter of William Walters, who survives him. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, and also a member of K. of P. Lodge, No. 400, which latter body will have charge of the funeral.

The deceased has been a resident of Findlay for the past twenty years, having previously lived in Detroit.
